Grilled Pork Loin Roast Marinade Recipe

Marinades can really enhance the flavour of your meats, and they can greatly improve your pork loin roast and change the flavour dramatically. All marinading involves letting the meat soak in the sauce for a while. How long should a grilled bone in pork loin roast marinade for?

An hour is the minimum amount of time you want to give it, but ideally 6-8 hours would be great. That gives it enough time for the juices to really penetrate the pork loin roast and saturate the meat with its flavour.

For my marinade, I mix together brown sugar, olive oil, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and garlic. I may add in some herbs as well, but I’m careful not to overdo it. Too much flavour can become overpowering and completely cover up the taste of the meat. You can marinate the pork in a large resealable plastic bag and place it in the refrigerator.

You can make a marinated tenderloin as far as three days ahead of when you are going to use it. It can stay in the fridge until that time. Any pork cut works for this recipe, and you can use bone in chops, pork loin roast, or boneless pork chops.

The best grilled pork loin roast is always marinated and this particular recipe has a delicately sweet flavour from the brown sugar. You need to be careful about cooking with any sugar, though, as that can burn quite easily. The trick to ensuring yours does not burn is to keep the heat low. If the pan is too hot when you throw the meat in there, then your brown sugar will burn and your meat won’t taste right.

I will sometimes customise this recipe to suit my cravings. For a spice marinade, I may add in hot sauce or red pepper flakes. For a Mexican version, I might blend together lime juice, chilli powder, garlic, onion powder and olive oil and leave the Dijon mustard out. If I am making an Asian version, I will leave out the Dijon mustard and add in sesame oil and lime juice to my original marinade recipe.

These are just a few ideas for grilled boneless pork loin roast recipes, and you may come up with your own. When cooking, just follow the directions for grilling the pork loin roast that I gave above.

Simple Rubbed Pork Loin Roast Recipe Grilled

Keyword: pork loin

  • 1 three-pound pork loin roast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp chicken seasoning
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 ½ tsp onion powder

  • Heat up the grill to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Mix together all of the ingredients except for the pork roast.
  • Rub the mixture all over the pork roast.
  • Place the roast onto the grill, fat side up.
  • Cover the grill and allow the pork loin roast to cook for 1 ½ hour to 2 hours.
  • The grilled pork loin roast is done cooking when it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit in its thickest part. Check with a thermometer to be sure. Let it cook before slicing the grilled boneless pork loin roast.

If you want to add more flavour to your roast or make it last longer on the shelf, you can inject it with a salt solution. There is no need to do a rubbed roast and marinate the roast as well. Either way gives you a flavourful sensed roast, so pick whichever you feel more comfortable doing.

This is a really simple meat to cook, though. Just about any way you prepare and cook the roast, it will be difficult to mess up. The only problem you have to watch for is using mismatched seasonings that don’t work well together or using too much of any particular seasoning.

You want to be careful that you don’t ruin the flavour of the meat and over-season it. This is already a flavourful cut of meat and somewhat sweet, so it’s not a bad thing to use minimal seasoning and let the meat provide the bulk of the flavour.

After you cook your pork loin roast, it should be kept in the fridge in an airtight container and eaten within three days. Only reheat what you will eat right away and don’t reheat the entire roast more than once.

Each time you reheat it, you increase the risk of bacterial growth and food poisoning. If you want to store it in the freezer, be sure to use an airtight, freezer-safe container or bag. The roast will keep in the freezer for a couple of months. To heat it up, you can transfer it to the refrigerator and then warm it up the grill, in a pan with no oil (pan searing), or in the microwave.
