Peanut Butter Balls Recipe No Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup of peanut butter
  • ½ cup of melted butter
  • 2 ½ cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips

Instructions

  • For easy peanut butter balls no bake, mix together peanut butter, powdered sugar, and butter. Combine until they are well blended, and you can add more powdered sugar or use less, if necessary.
  • Roll the mixture into balls that are about an inch in diameter. Place them into the freezer for about 20 minutes, allowing them to firm up.
  • Microwave chocolate chips at intervals of 15 seconds for about a minute overall. Every time you stop the microwave, stir the chocolate chips with a whisk. You can add a little bit of vegetable shortening to thin out the mixture.
  • Once the peanut butter no bake balls have firmed up, you can take them out of the freezer and dip them into the melted chocolate. You want to dip all of the ball except for a small spot on top. To cover them in chocolate without getting your fingers covered in chocolate, you can use a toothpick inserted into one end of the balls.
  • Then, place the chocolate covered balls onto wax paper and let them harden. You can place them the refrigerator to harden faster, if you want to use that method.

Variations on the No Bake Peanut Butter Balls

There are so many different variations you can make with these and keep the same basic recipe. Some ways to make it are going to be nearly identical, whereas others will require some slight changes to the process.

If you want to make no bake peanut butter oatmeal balls, then you do need to add some oatmeal to it. These can still be no bake balls, and you can use regular rolled oats for this. Instant oats are not recommended, even though you might think they would be since this is a no bake recipe.

Rolled oats worked great, but you simply need to put them into the fridge for about 10 or 15 minutes longer than the original recipe.

You can make chocolate peanut butter balls no bake with some extra pep to them to give you more energy. A lot of people will make these as a snack that they take when they go hiking or work out, because they are sweet and can be somewhat healthy.

They are great for picnics and other outdoor activities, since they can be stored away in a plastic bag or container and then used hours later without going bad. There are no eggs, milk, or other perishable ingredients in these, so they can stay good for a long time.

They can also be high energy if you know what to add to them. To make no bake peanut butter energy balls, you should add some caffeine or a little Monster Energy or another favourite energy drink to them. Anything you can think of that has a little caffeine can make a great addition to these so that they give you more energy.

That definitely isn’t suitable for a kid snack, though, and there are other ways to make these high energy snacks. You can make no bake chocolate peanut butter protein balls using the same ingredients as I gave you for the initial recipe.

Peanut butter has a lot of protein in it and therefore gives you a lot of energy already. Adding oats improves the energy level too, and for more short-term energy you can add something sweet to it. Some people will make no bake peanut butter M&M balls to give these added colour, flavour, and short term energy.

If you don’t need something as healthy as no bake oatmeal peanut butter balls, you can try something a bit different. You can make this balls using a variety of snacks like Rice Krispy treats. To make no bake peanut butter balls with Rice Krispies, simply combine rice Krispy treats with peanut butter, and you can dip that in chocolate using melted chocolate chips, if you like.

For healthy peanut butter balls no bake, you can decrease the sugar or use a sugar substitute. Some people will use honey or agave syrup in place of other kinds of sugar. This allows the balls to stick together very well, but they can become overly sticky, so you need to be aware of that.

You can probably come up with even more inventive ideas for no bake peanut butter balls. There are so many ways you can make these and so many substitutions that you can use for the ingredients that the variety is endless.

Some people add coconut to theirs, while others use butterscotch chips or a little pudding. Some dip theirs in caramel instead of chocolate and others will bake theirs slightly to give it a crispy outer texture.

Tips for Making No Bake Peanut Butter Balls

If you want to freeze these for storage, that’s perfectly fine. Peanut butter oatmeal balls no bake can last for a while in the freezer. You can also place them in the freezer to harden faster, if you like.

If they come out too dry, you can add some water to them. They should be able to roll easily, and they may need more water if they’re not rolling well.

If they are not rolling well, then you can wait until after they have been refrigerated. They will be more pliable and easier to work with then.
