Servings: 4
- 1 Kilo of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed juice of one lemon
In a large mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Stir until well combined.
Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until they are well coated with the marinade. Let the shrimp marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Thread the shrimp onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for 30 minutes prior to prevent burning).
Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
Remove the shrimp from the grill and serve immediately.

For added flavor, you can marinate the shrimp for longer. If marinating for more than 30 minutes, place in the refrigerator.

The shrimp can be served on its own, with a side of rice, or atop a fresh salad.
