Chocolate Chip Cookies without Chocolate Chips Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups of flour
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • ½ cup of butter, softened
  • cup of granulated sugar
  • ½ cup of brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp of cornstarch
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • To make these chocolate chip cookies without chips, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a stand mixer and bowl and add in butter and both kinds of sugar to your bowl. Mix for about 3 minutes on medium high speed.
  • Add in vanilla and egg and combine for about a minute.
  • Add in cornstarch, flour, salt, and baking soda, and mix on medium-low speed until combined. This batch of ingredients can also be combined separately on its own and then mixed into your bowl.
  • You now have chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips dough. Remove your dough from the bowl and form into one-inch balls. Place these on a baking sheet that has been covered with parchment paper and chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes. (You do this to keep the cookies from flattening out when they bake.)
  • Bake your balls of dough for 10-12 minutes. Be sure that there is enough space between them on the pan for them to cook without touching one another. Allow the cookies to cool for about 5 minutes and then take them off the pan to a wire rack to complete the cooling. They can be served right away or stored in an airtight container for up to a week. This chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips recipe can be stored in the freezer for up to three to four months.
