French Toast With Eggnog Recipe
This recipe takes 15 minutes of preparation time and 5 minutes of cooking time. It makes five to six servings.
- 1 ½ cups Eggnog
- 1 ½ tbsp ground Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Pumpkin pie
- 2 whole eggs, beaten
- 10-12 slices French bread
- Unsalted butter
Step 1: Mix eggnog, cinnamon, eggs, pumpkin pie spice together in a mixing bowl until blended. Then, pour the mixture into a shallow plate. One egg for a quarter cup of eggnog is the ideal ratio to achieve a desirable consistency. Too much dairy can ruin the dish and can result in soggy French toasts.
Step 2: Heat a pan and lightly grease it with unsalted butter. You can also use an electric skillet. Step 3: Dip the bread gently into the shallow plate. Ensure both sides of the bread get coated evenly with the mix.
Step 4: Place the bread slices into the pan. Let cook until light brown on each side and remove from the skillet. Keep warm in a serving dish until the rest is cooked.
Step 5: Serve hot with maple syrup or berries.
