Campbell's Scotch Broth Soup

  • 1 pound lamb shanks
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 cartons Cambell's


  • Flavour your lamb shanks with the pepper and the salt.
  • Turn the heat on your vegetable oil, and add the shanks.
  • After ten minutes, when the lamb shank is all browned, remove them and set them aside for now.
  • Add the carrots, celery, and onion to the vegetable oil, and after two minutes add the garlic and the bay leaves.
  • Keep stirring for 30 seconds or so. Now, pour the Cambell’s broth, and return the lamb back.
  • Cover and let the mix simmer for about two hours. You may need to add water if you noticed that it thickened more than you want.
  • After turning off the heat, let it cool and enjoy!
