Wild Rice Burger Recipe

  • 5 cups wild rice, cooked
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups mayonnaise
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup diced mushrooms
  • 4 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Cooking oil


  • Combine all of your ingredients in a bowl.
  • Scoop out 1 cup measures of your mixture at a time to make patties. You can form the patties into the right shape with your hands. If they come out a bit too wet, just add some more breadcrumbs to the mixture. Alternatively, you can put your mixture in the fridge for a few minutes to help them stay together better.
  • Cover the bottom of your frying pan with a light layer of oil and cook on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, you can add as many patties as will fit into the pan. Cook until the patties turn brown on both sides. You will need to flip them to ensure they cook evenly.
