Atole de Guayaba

Ingredients

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 cup cornflour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup guava paste

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, mix the milk, sugar, and cinnamon. Let it simmer on medium heat.
  • Mix the cornflour with half of the water. Stir until there are no lumps.
  • When the milk boils, add the cornstarch mixture and mix. Bring to low heat and simmer and stir.
  • Wait until the atole is perfectly cooked, then add the guava paste and stir.
  • Let the mixture cook for 10 minutes and serve with ground cinnamon on top.
