How To Cook Fresh Oysters At Home?

Try this fresh stir-fry oyster made with garlic, ginger, spring onion, and lots of other flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce of fresh oysters without shell
  • 1 whole garlic cut into long slices
  • 1 tbsp of ginger thinly cut
  • 4-5 tbsp of cornflour
  • 1 tbsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • ½ tsp of sea salt MSG
  • tbsp of white pepper
  • 1 tbsp of cornflour for seasoning
  • 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 2-3 tsp of soy sauce
  • A handful of green onions is cut into long pieces( keep the green and the white part separately).
  • Boiling water to cook the oysters

Instructions

  • Wash the oysters with running water. Add cornflour and give it a quick mix. Try not to break the oyster while mixing.
  • Now wash the oysters coated with cornflour to remove the impurities (if any).
  • Let the oysters dry till then prepare all the seasoning. Add salt, pepper, MSG, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and cornflour in a bowl.
  • Boil the oysters in boiling water for a minute and take them out to not overcook.
  • heat oil in a frying pan and add ginger and garlic to it. Saute it, and then add the white part of the spring onions. Finally, add the boiled oysters and mix the seasoning with the other ingredients. 
  • Finally, let it cook for 30 seconds and then add the green part of the spring onions and the stir fry fresh oysters are ready to be served.
