One of the most rewarding things about being a food blogger is finding out that people love your recipes. Every time someone sends in a picture of their attempt of my recipe, I feel a little bit famous! Even better, I love it when someone improves my recipes. So, send me a tip on how to bake it better next time. Food blogging really is a supportive community, and I wouldn’t be here without bloggers who let me contribute to their fantastic sites. Becoming a guest author is a great way of getting exposure for your own blog. If you have an amazing recipe idea, a food story from your travels, or a related opinion piece, I’d love to hear your pitch.
When I first started out as a food blogger, I didn’t have any readers at all. When I started reading more about guest post opportunities, I didn’t understand why people would give away content that they could use on their own blog. However, now I understand that becoming a contributor for a food blog is a brilliant way to gain exposure and make yourself known in the community.

Guest Post Guidelines
All content must be original
I try to ensure that I’m offering my readers useful and interesting content. That’s why I ask that any submissions do not appear anywhere else on the internet. I will use a plagiarism checker on any articles sent in to ensure that they haven’t been stolen from elsewhere.
Your guest post must be relevant
Cooking covers a pretty wide span of different topics. As you’ll notice, my blog isn’t just recipe after recipe. I’ve got a lot to say about food! Whether it’s a discussion about commercial cooking, a review of an awesome kitchen appliance, or your opinion on a new restaurant, I’m here for it! Just please don’t send in anything that wouldn’t fit in here at I Really Like Food. I get tons of submissions that just don’t fit the brief, so give me a break!
I’m after articles, not ads
While I’m willing to discuss sponsored content, I never want to spam my readers. Please don’t send in a sales pitch disguised as an article. Believe it or not, I can tell!
Make it exciting!
If I’m going to put out a guest post, I expect it to be the same quality as my own work. I try really hard to keep my blog at a really high standard, so if you want a place here, you’ll have to put the effort in. Add your own flair and show my readers a bit of your personality! It’s easy to send in a quick recipe you whipped up, but telling us why you love it so much is the icing on the cake!
