Low Calorie Honey Mustard Salad Dressing Recipe

What to do if you love honey mustard dressing sauce but don’t like all the calories it gives you? Can you really make a low calorie version of this?

I’m going to show you some changes you can make to the recipe I gave you up above to produce what I consider a light honey mustard salad dressing recipe. This is great for people who are trying to cut their calories or to stick to a diet but who still want to enjoy some of the foods they’ve always loved.

I’m a big believer that even when you’re dieting you should still be able to enjoy what you eat.

The recipe I gave you above contains no mayonnaise, so it’s already a pretty low fat version of honey mustard. However, it might not be thick and creamy enough to match the honey mustard dressing you’re used to.

How do you get that lovely creamy texture to your honey mustard dressing without all the calories?

The answer is simple- you can simply use the recipe above and add in half a cup of Greek yogurt. I recommend using plain Greek yogurt for this so that you don’t affect the flavour of the honey mustard sauce. You get the creaminess of mayonnaise without all the calories.

Check the fat content of the Greek yogurt. Any percentage will be fine, but it’s up to you what level of fat content you’re Okay with, especially if you want this to be a low fat, low calorie chicken salad with honey mustard dressing recipe.
