Best Blenders for Protein Shakes

Best Blenders for Protein Shakes

Last Updated on 17th December 2021 by

Not all blenders are created equal. If you only use your blender occasionally for a smoothie or something, then you don’t have to be too particular about the kind of blender that you use. Just about anything will do. But what about if you plan to make protein shakes, smoothies, or some other beverage almost every day?

If you have protein shakes are part of a diet and a healthy living plan, then you need a blender that can keep up.

A good blender for protein shakes will be able to turn anything you throw into it into pureed goodness. It will be tough and durable and long lasting. You want a blender that will be a good investment and that won’t break down on you when you need it most. It should be reliable, well reviewed, and good quality for what you pay for it.

I have looked at a number of blenders, testing them, reading reviews, and trying to find the very best blender for protein shakes. Here is my list.

The NutriBullet is special for a couple of reasons. First of all, it comes with different cup sizes so that you can make a shake the way you want it, in whatever size you need.

Secondly, it has some powerful blades that are specially designed to make smooth shakes and to extract nutrients from your ingredients. This may be the best personal blender for protein shakes because of these features, but that’s not all this blender can boast about.

The cups have reliable lids on them, so you can take them anywhere. It’s a blender and a carry cup in one! However, these cups are not as durable as I would have liked, and they can crack on you if you aren’t careful with them.

One other thing I liked about this blender is that it comes with a recipe book packed full of recipes to inspire you and make it easier to live the protein shake life.

SharkNinja Professional Countertop Blender

This one is world famous for its extensive list of features, including cups that you can blend your ingredients in and then take them with you. The blades on the SharkNinja are so powerful that they can crush frozen food and ice, so you can take food directly from your freezer (strawberries, broccoli, etc.) and just add it to the SharkNinja and expect it to get turned into a wholesome smoothie with no problem.

How great is that! Like any bender, though, you need to clean this thoroughly so that it doesn’t grow mould, especially the rubber washer.

Also, this blender can be louder than some of the other top tier blenders, but that’s to be expected when this one is so powerful that it can easily crush ice and blend frozen food.

I love how powerful this blender is and that you can craft a protein shake from just about anything, whether it is cooked, frozen, raw or in any other condition. This blender makes that easy for you, so I definitely recommend it as the best blender for protein shakes with ice

Hamilton Beach Blender

If you were to set this blender side by side with the others on this list and try to blend the same ingredients, you would notice a distinct difference. This Hamilton Beach blender is not nearly as powerful as others on this list, but that’s okay, because it makes up for that with another distinctive attribute.

Check out the price of the blender compared to the others and you will see that it is much less expensive. It is a very affordable blender, so if you are on a budget and just want a reliable blender for making protein shakes, this is not a bad choice.

You might have to help it along and make sure that you don’t put anything too hard or frozen in it. Be sure to thaw your foods first and cook some of the harder ones, and this blender will work just fine for you. It’s also quieter than most other options, because of its less powerful motor, so that has its upsides for sure.

Homgeek HM011-PB Protein Shake Blender

The standout feature of this blender is its simplicity. It doesn’t have some of the features of the other blenders, but it’s one-button operation is definitely appealing. No other blender offers such simplicity with such great value and high quality, so it makes this list as a great small blender for protein shakes.

You can blend all sorts of food in this machine, but it doesn’t handle ice and other frozen items very well. It’s somewhat powerful but not on the same level as the Shark Ninja. It’s a great blender for someone who has simple protein shake needs and knows they won’t be taxing their blender too much and who also wants a blender on a budget.

Boss to Go Sport

Are you looking for the best portable blender for protein shakes? Try the Boss to Go, which is definitely costlier than some of the other options here but does a great job of making it easy to go from blending up your smoothie to taking the cup from the blender on the go.

There is no mess and no fuss and no needing you transfer from one container to another to carry your shake with you. It’s super convenient and I love it for that. The included cups will fit well into most cup holders, and that makes it extra portable, as there are two sizes to choose from as well for your convenience.

The other standout feature of this blender is its motor, which is pretty powerful and right up there with some of the most powerful blenders you can get. All of that makes for a compelling if not expensive package, but for those who live on protein shakes for breakfast, this will be a worthwhile investment.

Oster Protein-Shake Blender

The final selection I want to share with you is this one from Oster. It’s very quiet, so that means it would be perfect for making early morning shakes when everyone else is sleeping.

If you live in an apartment complex and your neighbours like things quiet, then this blender will help you to stay on good terms with them and not have to sacrifice your morning protein shake.

It is not super powerful, though, so be careful what you blend in it. I will say that this is one of the most attractive blenders and cup combinations out there. I like how stylish it is, and when you take it on the go, you don’t have to be embarrassed by a bulky-shape blender cup.

This one oozes style, and it’s just another reason why it makes it on this list of the best protein shake blenders.

Closing Thoughts

When choosing a blender, you will want to weigh the cost with the power and functionality of the blender. You ultimately have to choose a blender that works well for you and that fits your personal needs.

Not everyone needs a super powerful blender that can crush bricks. Not everyone needs a blender with five speeds or with the ability to take the blender cup on the go. Choose what works best for you, and I hope these selections help you to make a smart, informed choice that you will be happy with.
